Bo NORMARK

Biography: With 38 years of industrial experience in the energy sector, Bo has built extensive expertise in energy systems, innovation, and strategic leadership across global markets. His career spans the development and commercialization of new energy technologies, evaluation of innovation portfolios, and assessment of investment opportunities in organizations including ABB, the Swedish Energy Agency, InnoEnergy, and Industrifonden. He has deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, economic feasibility analysis, and financing of energy projects, particularly in power systems and battery technologies. He has led the development of technology roadmaps and EU-level battery strategies while building international industrial networks through the European Battery Alliance. His experience includes managing complex international operations, fostering industry–government collaboration across Europe, North America, and Asia, and shaping policy through high-level advisory and board roles. He also held prominent leadership positions in Swedish and European organizations, contributing to the advancement of smart grids, power transmission, and sustainable energy systems.
